The Living Torso 2016- 2019
The Living Torso 2016- 2019
The Living Torso Project is a series of photographs that focus on drawing and contain the different types of body shapes and sizes in the same posture.
The figures provide both form and content for the matter of gender. The selected body is described as a torso mannequin in the state of decomposition; no arms, legs and head. This means that it is exploring the human body both inner and outer by implementing a fragmented body. Acquiring the specific posture aims to reconstruct a deficient beauty and express an ambiguous boundary as taking a juxtaposition of male/female.

I Saw this Coming 2019
'I Saw this Coming' is a series of painting on wooden board. The series begun when I found out about the cancer and after the several operations. It is based on what I experienced physically and mentally. The artwork is created with a perspective of implying the physical and mental pain before or after the surgery, some details imply as if the blood comes out from the wound and rotating around. This is also inspired by ultrasound pictures, cell images, the experiences of biopsy and medical examinations.
The title is related to obvious fear that people have, which usually never happens; however my fear has been actualised rather often in my life, hence I wanted to imply these expectations of fear of mine in a rather sarcastic way and it is regarded as an object of despair.
